В следующих выпусках ожидается появление новых разделов. Предположительно один из них будет посвящен повторению отдельных наиболее сложных моментов грамматики английского языка, а второй - будет представлять собой раздел, в котором будет собрано все-то, что не очень подходит под другие разделы, но представляет немалый интерес. to enforce – усиливать (уст.)

to deepen – усиливать(ся), становиться интенсивнее, громче, насыщеннее, темнее и т.д.

to augment – усиливать, повышать, увеличивать

1.В утвердительных предложениях наречие long заменяется словосочетанием for a long time. Нельзя сказать – I’ve been waiting long for this opportunity:

Однако, long можно употреблять во временном значении в вопросах, отрицательных предложениях, а также в утвердительных в сочетании с so, too, as…as, enough:

2. Неопределенному местоимению one, соответствует возвратное местоимение oneself, а всем другим неопределенным местоимениям соответствуют возвратные himself (даже если говорится о женщине) и themselves:

3. Сочетание in the future характерно в конце предложения, а in future употребляется в начале и в конце:
